Linux installs to revive older computers and make new computers better!

I believe I am the only person in this area [Rapid City and surrounding] offering an installation of Linux Mint or any other Linux operating system on older [or new] laptop and desktop computers.
Some utilities of Windows 7 are out of date and will no longer be updated. Earlier versions of Windows are out of date completely and are actually dangerous to use because of outdated security. Hackers love to find computers with the Vista operating system still loaded. Below is a list from Microsoft’s website that shows even some releases of Win 10 are not being supported anymore!

Instead of Windows 10 try Linux! Windows is still subject to many threats online and packed full of features that only clog up the works for most people. Linux is clean, free and simple, user-friendly – and very important no advertising!

Linux operating systems are great for computers that have an outdated Windows installed and can no longer upgrade to Win 10 due to the older hardware. It is great for people who have a lot of trouble with malware and scams.

Linux operating systems, like Linux Mint, are distributed for free!

I charge $45 for installation and basic training for the Linux OS,
*AND transfer documents [photos, and other user files]*
*AND include an hour lesson to get familiar with Linux as well as set up the web browser for use with email, Facebook, etc. * All for $45.00.

If after using it, and you’ve already tried my assistance – if you still don’t like it we can put Windows back on the computer. I will charge only $40 to restore your computer back to Windows. *I do not recommend ever putting an older version of Windows back on your computer, but if you really want to revert back, you can or it would be a good time to buy an upgrade license. Did you know if you buy a license for windows 10 – you can use it on your next computer if you need to. Only one at a time, but it is transferable.

Please call with any questions or to set up an appointment to learn more.

I recommend Linux Mint for first time Linux users, it is similar in appearance to Windows, with a start [menu] button, icons and shortcuts. Installing a printer on Windows takes 20 to 40 minutes. Installing on Linux Mint takes 7 minutes. We do have to check and be sure your printer is compatible.

A wonderful feature of Linux is you can try it out without actually changing anything. You can try it to see how it looks and if it will work for you – before you make up your mind.

IMPOSSIBLE BANANA CUSTARD PIE

IMPOSSIBLE BANANA CUSTARD PIE

Prep: 15 min, cook: 50 min, plus refrigeration time.
2 cups bananas, mashed
1 tbs. Lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk baking mix
2 tbs. Unsalted butter
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
2 eggs
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1-1/2 cups whipped cream
1/2 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped

Preheat oven to 350°f. Combine bananas and lemon juice in a bowl and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients, except whipped topping and walnuts, in a bowl. Beat on medium speed until smooth. Add banana mixture and beat on high speed until smooth. Pour into a greased 10 inch pie plate. Bake 50-55 minutes, until golden brown and a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool. Refrigerate until chilled. Spread top with whipped cream. Sprinkle with walnuts. This recipe serves 8 people. Because this recipe is for a particular size pan, it adjusts the number of servings only in multiples of 8.
